I need to know if sulfites of any form are used in the nylon brush itself or even in packing.  I am highly sensitive to any/all sulfites.  Even trace amounts of Sulfites on latex gloves burn my lips and tongue.

Sulfites are any compound that contain SO_3^-1 ion. Compounds of which are widely used in food and pharmaceutical industries as preservatives. Sulfites are classified as one of the top food allergens known to affect human thus proper regulation of this substance are being monitored in the market. Nylon, in all perspectives does not contain sulfites. Its structure is a repeated condensation copolymers formed by reacting equal parts of a diamine and a dicarboxylic acid. To ensure that your toothbrush is safe from sulfite contamination, better keep it away from other toothbrushes since the ultimate source of sulfites is from food and toothbrush can acquire sulfite from the food that we intake. However, it would be better to buy trusted toothbrush to ensure that it is not tampered.
