We have to solve the following by the elimination method.

6x - y = 37 ...(1)

x + 3y = 22 ...(2)

3*(1) + (2)

=> 18x - 3y + x + 3y = 111 + 22

=> 19x = 133

=> x = 133/19

=> x = 7

(1) - 6*(2)

=> 6x - y - 6x - 18y = 37 - 132

=> -19y = -95

=> y = -95/-19

=> y = 5

The solution of the system of equations is x = 7 and y = 5

I'm sorry to be difficult, but I don't understand how you got the answers. #Confused :-\
