You should always tie your intro and conclusion together.  If you used a strong statement use something similar in the conclusion, if a statistic, then a different one, if a quote, then a similar quote.  This will give cohesiveness to your paper.

Check out the Pickens Plan. Just type "pickens plan" into your search engine.  Mr. Pickens has lots of great quotes about alternative energy and you may be able to find one that "clinches" your points well.  Good Luck!

You also could use a good Al Gore quote from "An Inconvenient Truth."

Using emotion is the key to making an impact.  Why don't you spin a story of a hypothetical situation?  You can describe how great the world will be once we have embraced alternative energy.  Talk about the advantages.  You can also choose to describe a world without alternative energy, say 50 years from now.  Fear is always powerful!
