This is a great question. If you know something about human nature and business, then you can be successful in implementing change. In light of this, I will offer a few suggestions.
First, you should tell people well in advance of the changes that will take place. This will allow people to have ample time to process the change.
Second, you should give reasons that are cogent for the change. If the changes are not beneficial, why even do them. So, you should let employees know why the changes will take place. Give them the rationale.
Third, you should try to incorporate employees in the change process. Get their opinions and their input. If they feel as though they have a say and a voice, then they will be more apt to agree with the change.
Fourth, project the future and show how these changes will benefit the employees. In other words, get them to see how these changes will make their lives better.
