The result of multiplying the given expressions is:

-5x^4*(4x^2)

= -5*4*x^4*x^2

= -20*x^(4 + 2)

= -20*x^6

(5x)(10x^2)

= 5*10*x*x^2

= 50*x^(1+2)

= 50*x^3

The result of -5x^4*(4x^2) = -20*x^6  and (5x)(10x^2) = 50*x^3
