Mr.Jimenez has a pool behind his house that needs to be fenced in.The backyard is an odd quadrilateral shape.The four sides are 3a,2b,4a, and 7b in lenght.How much fencing(the lenght of the perimeter) would he need to enclose the pool!

Mr.Jimenez has a pool behind his house that needs to be fenced in. The backyard has an odd quadrilateral shape. The four sides of the area that has to be fenced are 3a, 2b, 4a, and 7b in length.

The perimeter of the backyard is 3a + 2b + 4a + 7b = 7a + 9b. This is the length of the fencing.

The length of fencing required is 7a + 9b.
