In the lab, students generated and collected hydrogen gas according to the following...
1 Answer | add yours
Zn+H_2SO_4 rarr H_2+ZnSO_4
Zn = 65.38g/mol
Amount of Zn reacted = 52.7g = 52.7/65.38 mol = 0.8mol
Zn:H_2 = 1:1
So amount of H_2 gas produced = 0.8mol
At STP 1 mol of gas holds a volume of 22.4L
Volume of 1mol of H_2 gas at STP = 22.4L
Volume of 0.8mol of H_2 gas at STP = 0.8xx22.4L = 17.92L
So 17920ml of hydrogen gas will be produced
