Kapoor and Ramesh push a 1200 kg block horizontally in the same direction. Sunil pushes with a force of 500 N and Ramesh pushes with a force of 300 N. If a frictional force provides 200 N of resistance, what is the acceleration of the block?

We can use the Newton’s laws  of motion here.

F=ma for the direction of force

At the force side we have two forces 500N and 300N. Resisting these forces we have frictional force of 200N.

`(500+300) -200 = 1200xxa`

`a = 600/1200 = 0.5 m/s^2`

So the acceleration of the block is 0.5m/s^2
