Jacksonian American

1. How will historians label the last 40 years in the United States? What person, idea, or invention deserves to be applied to these last 40 years (1970-2012)?(Ex:"Age of Jackson" or" Jacksonian American,"1829-1841). Can anybody help me this?

I'm not sure about the last forty years, but I think the last decade could be referred to as the Jobsonian Decade, as in Steve Jobs of Apple.  The technology and advancements that Apple has made in the last decade are unreal.  iPads, iPhones, iPods, macbooks... He has revolutionized the way we interface with technology on a daily consumer basis.

And honestly? The more I think about it; his first computer was released in the '70s, so really it could be the Jobsonian Era.
