In art, the idea of perspective came directly out of the period of the Renaissance. Perspective means the artist uses 3D imagery to portray foregrounds and backgrounds.
Humanism is another idea that came directly out of the Renaissance that is important today. Human potential and secularism stress the importance of a separation between state and religion.
Additionally, the study of the humanities is important today. These subjects of study (psychology, history, literature, etc.) are all products of the Renaissance.
