I'm doing a research project on 'poverty' for my sociology class, and I need to focus on a particular group for this topic. Any suggestions?

If you are doing a paper about poverty you are writing about people who live on under the poverty line which is currently ranges from approximately $11,00 for an individual person to approximately $38,00 for a family of eight.

When looking at groups to write about there are two ways you could approach this. You could talk about the culture of poverty and how those who live in generational poverty have a subculture that is different from those who live a middle class life or an affluent life.  If you are looking to identify a specific group of individuals who live in poverty migrant workers would be a good subset of people who live in poverty to look at their way of life and the conditions they live in.
