The true identity or the common origin of peoples in Latin America comes from local amerindian tribes combined with conquerers who came form Iberian peninsula, meaning portuguese in Brasil area ans spanish in the rest of America.
Their identity wouldn't be so difficult to disscuss if it will be recognized the equal rights for the surviving amerindians, who in some countries are not treated like the other citizens.
Also, in Southern America, there are refugees from Hitler's Germany, which were hidding from punishments or because they were frightened that allied occupation, after the second world war, will affect their lifes.
