How about if I get you started, and you take it from there? We cannot write your assignment for you, but we can help. As you know, to write an acrostic poem, you must choose a word that is a theme, some main idea or something to do with the story, and then make each line begin with a letter of that theme or idea word. So, for this story, let's choose the title:
Cintron, Luis, has just returned from Juvie
And in his father’s junkyard he must work
This work, to him, is boring and not groovy
Cars and junk are just for punks and jerks
Hubcaps and other junk is just for others
Then this great girl comes by one day to buy
He’s sad. He still is grieving for his mother
Emotions get the best of him. He cries.
You get the idea. If you don't like this poem, choose another word, such as DELINQUENT, and use those letters.
