How to show B^2=2B for the matrix B = `[[3, 1],[-3, -1]]`

The matrix B = `[[3, 1],[-3, -1]]`

B^2 = B*B = `[[3, -1],[-3, -1]]*[[3, 1], [-3, -1]]`

=> `[[6, 2],[-6, -2]]`

2*B = `2*[[3, 1],[-3, -1]]`

=> `[[6, 2],[-6, -2]]`

This shows that B^2 = 2*B
