How is quilting used in Alice Walker’s “Everyday Use”? In what ways does the story show Black women creating positive identities for themselves?

it is not about image as much as is about legacy. Mama represents the past of slavery-- women were hard working with liitle education because Blacks were prohibited. Because all they had was their family, house, and work, they took pride in those three things. Quilts represent heirlooms. In the story, the quilts had different people clothes fragments who all had died. It is something to remember them by.
