The human body contains approximately 6 quarts (or 5.6 liters) of blood.

In one day your blood travels nearly 12,000 miles. Your heart beats around 35 million times per year. Your heart pumps a million barrels of blood during the average lifetime-enough to fill three supertankers.

The amount of blood in the human body depends on size (body mass is more important than height). An average man of 150 lbs or 70 kgs will have around 8 pints or 5.2 litres of blood. A woman of 110 lbs (50 kgs) will have about 3.3 litres of blood ; about 5 pints. (However, 110 lbs is a petite size!). The average woman will have nearer 6-7 pints and with a male having eight, the average is just over 7 pints.

The average blood volume of an "average" human adult is between 5-7 liters. This assumes an average adult weighs around 175 lbs. This coincides to the cardiac output which is the amount of blood pumped by the ventricles of the heart per minute.

In an average healthy adult, the volume of blood is about one-eleventh of the body weight. Most sources state the volume of blood in an average human adult, who is between 150 to 160 pounds, as between 4.7 and 5 liters, although the more recent sources state the volume of blood in an average adult as 4.7 liters.

1 liters = 2.11337642 US pints
So, about 10 pints in an average human adult. Some people can have as many as 12 pints of blood.

Children obviously have less blood. Tiny, premature babies may have as little as the equivalent of half a wine glass ful of blood.

Based on how much blood is in one person, that would based on the size of the size of that person in fact. It also has factors included on where the amount of blood would matter. For example, based on hydration, and elements revolving around the amounts of cells one has(red, white) in their blood, it could differ. But the average amount of blood in a 150 pound human is about 5.5 Liters

An average adult human body contains approximately five liters of blood. Blood makes up about seven to eight percent of the human body's weight. Almost three liters (in an average person) of the blood is made up of plasma. The remaining part is made up of cells. The amount of blood in a body would differ based on body mass.
