One of the most difficult aspects of research is the organization component, so try to organize your notes into main ideas to help you focus the content of your material and the research process.
Depending on your research, a good place to start for an introduction would be to establish the basic foundation of your research premise. I would address major or fundamental aspects of your research or establish the background. Important things to consider are: 1) Previous research or opinions on the subject; 2) whether or not you agree with previous findings; 3) what aspect of your research brings a new light to the subject matter. You will want to lay out or build background on your topic before you introduce your thesis statement.
