How does globalization affect tranportation?
1 Answer | add yours
The major impact of globalization on transportation is that it creates a huge amount of demand for transportation. Globalization involves the creation of closer economic ties among the countries of the world. Goods made in China, for example, are sold around the world. This causes the need for a tremendous amount of transportation since those goods must be shipped from China to many other countries. At the same time, people are moving around the world more. More business executives, for example, need to go to meetings in foreign countries. This, too, causes a need for more transportation.
