How do you support Freud's theory? In what ways do you agree or disagree with him?

When you are looking at Freud you are looking at the stages of psycho-sexual development in which Freud proposed that one's development is driven by base biological impulses, which were labeled as one's sexuality and sexual drive. A large focus of this theory was how these drives affect one's relationship with one's mother and father.
Another important factor of this theory is how we regulate these natural drives through the id, ego, and superego. The id represents our base level natural drives, the ego represents how we moderate these drives and the superego serves to balance the id and super ego.
When looking at how to support this you want to find strengths regarding how our drives affect our development. When you are looking at weaknesses you want to look at how the focus on the sexual drives can discredit this theory in the modern world.
