Fifteen hundred words can be a daunting task; it can be overwhelming when you look it in one huge lump sum. I recommend that you sit down and make a brief outline of what your essay is going to be about and what information will be in each paragraph: the introduction, body paragraphs, and conclusion. Then, instead of suffering through writing the whole thing at once, split it into chunks. Do one paragraph at a time. Look at your outline and start with the easiest paragraph to write. When you finish one paragraph, reward yourself. Depending on your due date for the paper, you could work on one paragraph or two per day to finish the paper in time. The best strategy for working on a big paper is to divide it into more manageable chunks and attack it one small piece at a time.
