What is the modulus of negative numbers such as (-2)^1022

The modulus of a number N is the value of N irrespective of the sign that precedes it. For example |5| = |-5| = 5.
The modulus of (-2)^1022, is 2^1022. Here it should be noted that as the exponent is even, the value of (-2)^1022 is positive.
The modulus of (-2)^1022 is 2^1022
