Solve the following equations : x/14 - 1/2 = -1/7; (4/5)x + 3 = 2x -3/5; (1/8)x + 2((1/4x)-5) = 6 and 2.4x + 0.5 = 7.5 - 1.1x

The solution of the given linear equations is:

`x/14 - 1/2 = -1/7`

=> `x/14 = -1/7 + 1/2`

=> `x/14 = (7-2)/14`

=> `x = 5`

`(4/5)x + 3 = 2x - 3/5`

=> `2x - (4/5)x = 3 + 3/5`

=> `1.2x = 3.6`

=> x = 3

`(1/8)x + 2(1/4x - 5) = 6`

=>`(1/8)x + (1/2)x - 10 = 6`

=> `(5/8)x = 16`

=> `x = 25.6`

`2.4x + 0.5 = 7.5 - 1.1x`

=> `2.4x + 1.1x = 7.5 - 0.5`

=> 3.5x = 7

=> x = 2``

- x/14 -1/2 =-1/7

14(x/14) - 14(1/2)=14(-1/7)

x-7 =-2

x=-2 +7

x=5

2. 4/5x +3 =2x - 3/5

5(4/5x) + 5(3)=5(2x) - 5(3/5)

4x + 15 =10x - 3

4x - 10x =-3 -15

-6x =-18

x =-18/-6

x =3

3. (1/8) +2(1/4x - 5)=6

1/8x 1/2x -10=6

5/8x = 16

x =25.6

4. 2.4x + 0.5 = 7.5 - 0.5

2.4 + 1.1 = 7.5 -0.5

3.5x = 7

x =2
