Let coordinate of A and B be respectively `(0,y_1) and (x_2,y_2).` Let coordinate of pont C be `(x,0)` ,which minimize AC+BC

But

AC+BC=`sqrt(x^2+y^2_1)+sqrt((x-x_2)^2+y^2_2)`

`x_2,y_1 ,and y_2`  are fixed ,we can choose only x.

so if we choose x=0 ,it will give minimum.

C(0,0)
