How did the 7 commandments change in Animal Farm?
1 Answer | add yours
Another note on the change of the commandments: not only do they change, but the important part is that Squealer is able to convince the animals that they have already and always been as he changed them to be (his italics). This important fact--that he can change the animals' view of history, what things once were, suggests the power of propaganda as well as "the word." Whoever controls language controls society.
