Solve the system of inequalities by graphing y < -2x - 1 and y < 2x + 3

The inequalities are y < -2x - 1 and y < 2x + 3
Plotting the two inequalities:
As y < -2x - 1 and y < 2x + 3, the common area is the points that lie below the two lines. It can be seen quite clearly in the graph drawn above.
