Henrietta Heartburn loves exotic vegetables. She grows them in her large veggie garden. Ten days after she planted, the first shoots began to appear. The kohlrabi came up first at the rate of one plant per day. The collards started a day after the first kohlrabi at a rate of two per day. The first rutabagas came up two days after the first collards at the rate of three plants a day. Thirty days after the first kohlrabi came up, how many total plants could be seen growing in Henrietta's garden?

.Since kohlrabi comes up one every day after 30 days there will be 30 kohlrabi. Since collards came up a day after first kohlrabi they had only 29 days to grow and since they came up 2 a day there will be 29*2=` ` 58 collards. Since first rutabagas came up 2 days after first collards they had only 29-2=27 days to grow and since they came up 3 a day there will be 27*3= 81 rutabagas.

So in total there will be 30+58+81=169 plants.
