There are, of course, many kinds of behaviors that can be positive or negative within an organization. Let us look at one of each.
One very negative behavior in an organization is attempting to be sure that you will get the credit for things that go well and will evade blame for things that go badly. This is a very typical behavior in organizations since many people in organizations are very concerned with looking good so that they can advance. When people act in this way, they destroy any camaraderie and team spirit that might exist in the office. They make the organization stop being a team and cause it to disintegrate into a group of individuals each working to advance their own interests.
One positive behavior in an organization is seeking out ways to help other people succeed. If an organization is to truly function as a team, its members need to look out for one another and help one another whenever possible. If members of the organization do this, they will build a spirit of teamwork in the organization and morale should rise.
