The question is "How high was a cliff if a coin dropped from the cliff took 2 seconds to hit the ground?

s = initial height

h = ending height, in this case ground therefore h = 0

t = 2 sec

h = -16t^2 + s

substituting values, we get:

0 = -16*2^2 + s

0 = -64 + s

s = 64 units

The height of cliff = 64
