We'll re-write 0.5 = 1/2

We'll multiply by 20x  all over:

20x/2 +7*20x/10x-13*20x/20=0

10x + 14 - 13x = 0

We'll combine like terms:

-3x + 14 = 0

We'll subtract 14 both sides:

-3x + 14 - 14 = -14

-3x = -14

We'll divide by -3:

x = -14/-3

x = 4.(6)

Since the value of x is different from 0, then it is the solution of the equation.

We have to solve 13/20-7/10x=0.5 for x

13/20-7/10x=0.5

=> 13x/20x - 14/20x = 1/2

=> (13x - 14)/20x = 1/2

=> 13x - 14 = 10x

=> 3x = 14

=> x = 14/3

The value of x = 14/3
