The slope of the line pasing through the points (x1, y1) and (x2, y2) is given by (y2 - y1)/(x2 - x1)

For a line passing through (2, 5) and (5, 9) the slope is :

(9 - 5)/(5 - 2) = 4/3

The required slope of the line is 4/3
