Consider two points (a,b) and (c,d). The distance d between these two points is given by;

`d = sqrt((a-c)^2+(b-d)^2)`

So moving on to our question we have two points (-9,11) and (-19,4).

`d1 = sqrt((-9-(-19))^2+(11-4)^2) = sqrt149 = 12.20655`

So the exact answer is `sqrt149`

Answer by approximation of 3 decimal places is 12.206

In the same way the distance between next points are as;

`d2 = sqrt50 = 5sqrt2 = 7.07107`

So the exact answer is `5sqrt2`

Answer by approximation of 3 decimal places is 7.071
