We have given

 t^3-t^2+t-1

so

`t^3-t^2+t-1= t^2(t-1)+1(t-1)`

`=(t-1)(t^2-1)`

`=(t-1)(t-1)(t+1)`

bcause we can write

`A^2-B^2=(A-B)(A+B)`

`t^3-t^2+t-1`

`(t^3-t^2)(t-1)`

`t^2(t-1) 1(t-1) `

`(t^2+1)(t-1)`
