We are responsible for the environment we live in as well as the environment we will pass on to subsequent generations. I think each person is responsible for doing their part to protect the environment. We may find that Earth is not the only planet humans can inhabit. Of course, we will have the same problems on another planet as well. We must maintain an inhabitable environment on the planet.
I agree that we should try to do as much as possible to protect our planet, for all the obvious reasons. I had hoped that by now we would have harnessed the power of the sun or created fusion power, which has been the subject of intense scientific study for decades now. Every time I see how much garbage by wife and I produce in just one week, I worry about the planet. I hope that humans soon develop the kinds of technology that can begin to reverse some of the trends that have only gotten worse over the years. There is some reason for optimism: some rivers today are much less polluted than they once were, and so are some cities.
Protecting the Earth is like protecting your own home. No other planets are suited for human life (more than likely, for any life) and we certainly would never be able to reach another planet if something were to happen to Earth. Earth has oxygen and is an appropriate distance from the sun so that it allows food to grow here for our survival. However, it's not as hot as Venus or Mercury which are too hot to sustain life. The other planets are too cold.
We have to change our relationship with our natural resources. For centuries, we have thought of the natural world as a thing to be exploited. Now we have to think of it as a thing to be nurtured and stewarded. This attitude has changed much during my lifetime, but we have a long way to go, and it won't happen without some basic sacrifices.
Personally, I think that each person is responsible for minimizing the negative effects he or she has on Earth, and trying to make Earth a little bit better. Plant a tree, walk instead of drive, wear a sweater instead of turning on the heater, and use a re-usable water bottle. Every little bit helps.
The reason we need to protect the Earth is that we and our descendants will have no choice but to live here. We do not want to make our only home uninhabitable. The responsibility of every individual is to live in such a way as to not put unnecessary stress on the environment. We should try to reduce our consumption of energy and resources as much as is possible while maintaining a good standard of living.
Why should we protect the earth? The answer to this question is evident from the post #2 itself. The language that he has used is a deformed one. Its not the language to be used in this site in which peole come in quest of knowledge sharing. In the same way we have deformed the earth on which stand. If it is destroyed, where shall our next generations stand. Until now only the earth is found to be living planet for man. Scientists are looking for more as they find some information about many more. Unless we find any, mankind is bound to live on it. Therefore its our duty to protect it. Everything we use gets torn, withered. We have also utilised the resources of this earth tremendously. Certainly some of it, we will not get back in even any condition. Though necessity is the mother of invention, we have used it for our unnecessary, unwanted aspirations. As a result it has been reduced to scrap. The black hole, global warming, green house gas ar of grave concern. Therefore , people are now worried and some of them have taken up the task of saving it by plantation, reducing use of vehicles, inventing bio-gas, oil etc. We need to reduce the much effecting gas.
On the other hand, protection of motherland is necessary but if the planet seize to exits, where will there be motherland. So first and foremost is to save the planet. We can do it by cultivating necessary steps in our motherland and then spreading it to other parts of the world.
Its d big round thing we survive on... everyone loves it but takes foregranted just like we do to our parents... but we take care of dem n whom we love... so we shud let our heart pour de true love to the beautiful n amazing mother earth...:)
