My lit class was given an assignment where we have to explore emotions across different genres.  I am finding this difficult.

Dylan Thomas' Poem "Do Not Go Gentle Into That Good Night"

Nathaniel Hawthorne "The Minister's Black Veil"

There are some good modern examples in Tower Wells' collection, Everything Ravaged, Everything Burned

The poem "The Duel" by Eugene Field is a poem all about anger and fury between the Gingham Dog and the Calico cat.

"I woke up this morning" by Karla Kuskin centers around growing anger of a narrator who's entire day is going wrong.

The short story Millions of Cats, by Wanda Gag also has a theme of anger and pride.

The nursery rhyme "Two cats of Kilkenny" author unknown has a theme of anger and conflict.

One other poem I found "I saw a little girl I Hate" by Arnold Spilka.

I hope that helps.
