Disscuss how the kinetic energy of warm water changes when poured into an empty cup at room temperature, a cup taken from the freezer, and a cup that has been hated (to a higher temperature than the warm water). Include what happens with the direction of energy transfer.

The kinetic energy of water changes when it is poured into various containers at various containers because kinetic energy is part of the internal energy of an object or substance, like water and like a cup. Energy is released by pouring. The energy converts to kinetic energy heat transfer. Heat is transferred depending on the direction of greatest kinetic energy.
