RENAISSANCE WAS THE TIME WHEN NEWEST IDEAS STARTED SPRINGING FROM FRANCE AND ITALY AND CONSEQUENTLY REACHED ENGLAND.IN THE MEDIEVAL TIMES, RELIGION WAS GIVEN MUCH IMPORTANCE SOCIETY WAS BASED OR FORMED UPON RELIGION.BUT THE RENAISSANCE BOUGHT IN A HOST OF IDEAS RELATING TO SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY AND SPIRIT OF INDIVIDUALISM CONSEQUENTLY DEVELOPED.THIS IS SEEN IN DR.FAUSTUS(HE HIMSELF STANDS AS A PERFECT EXAMPLE).THE RENAISSANCE MADE MEN INQUISITIVE AND THEY WERE TRIGGERED TO THINK AND FIND BEYOND WHAT THEY COULD ACTUALLY THINK AND FIND.FAUSTUS DEFINITELY WANTED TO CHALLENGE HIS LIMITS IN MAKING AN BARGAIN WITH THE DEVIL.THUS FAUSTUS WANTED PEOPLE TO THINK ABOUT THE FUTURE.HE SYMBOLICALLY PORTRAYS THE ILL EFFECTS OF INTELLIGENCE!
