The function ` y = sqrt(1 + cot x)` has to be differentiated with respect to x.

`dy/dx = (1/2)*(1/sqrt(1 + cot x))*(-cosec^2x)`

=> `(-cosec^2x)/(2*sqrt(1 + cot x))`

The derivative of `y = sqrt(1 + cot x)` is `y' = (-cosec^2x)/(2*sqrt(1 + cot x))`
