Lifestyle is a term to describe the way a person lives, originally coined by Austrian psychologist Alfred Adler, in 1929.  Basically, it has to do with a set of behaviors and the sense of self and belonging which those behaviors represent.  All these actions collectively represent a certain lifestyle adopted by an individual.

Discipline within a certain lifestyle can help an individual to avoid the health-related pitfalls associated with that lifestyle.  A person who works within the food industry, such as a chef, must take care they watch their diet and exercise properly, otherwise they might become obese by the random accumulation of excess calories.  An assortment of health issues accompany being overweight, from high blood pressure to cholesterol issues.  Discipline to abstain from high quantities of calorie-dense foods immediately at his/her disposal would help such an individual avert this weight gain.
