Determine the particular value and the parameter k so that:
a. 3kx+5y+k-2=0 passes though (-1, 4)

`3kx+5y+k-2 = 0`

If the equation of the above line satisfies the coordinates of the point (-1,4) we can say;

`3kxx(-1)+5xx4+k-2 = 0`

`-3k+k = -20+2`

`-2k = -18`

`k = 9`

 

So the answer is k = 9
