To find the area under the given curve, you have to integrate it wrt x.

`A = int_1^3 x^3 dx`

`A = [x^4/4]_1^3`

`A = 1/4 xx [3^4 - 1^4]`

`A = 1/4 xx (81 - 1)`

`A = 1/4 xx 80`

`A = 20`

The area is 20.
