The Marketing Decision Support System (MDSS) has three critical component systems that provide information-processing. The database is one of these three components. The objective of the MDSS is to provide detailed and timely information and the database of collected and stored information from current and past sources that are both historic and up-to-date, sometimes real-time, bases of data, make "timely and accurate reports" possible.
