Describe the pathway of a gustatory stimulus from contact of a tastant with saliva to the primary gustory area in the cerebral cortex.

The pathways after contact with a tastant follow three neuro-cranio routes: the facial nerve path, the glossopharyngeal nerve path, the vagus nerve path. Reactions to the tastant are chemosensory may exit in single reactions as well as in the established model of "spatially separate, gustatory and somatosensory regions."
