Analyze the matrix management system of organizational management and describe its characteristics and how it differs from a traditional system.

matrix management system applies to complex structures where there are multiple branches of functions and/or projects that have equal importance and authority. Project or department participants are fairly autonomous and contributory though they may report to a project or department manager who has equal rank with the other matrixed project or department managers. Equality and multiple functions are required for successful matrixing.
