Thallophyta (Algae &Fungi) and Bryophyta have reproduction by spores and lack conduction system while Gymnosperms and Angiosperms reproduce by seeds and have vascular system. In Pteridophytes reproduction is by spores but they do have a well developed conduction system and that is how they are different from other groups of plants. Today whatever Pteridophyte we see in living condition have about 400 genera and ten thousand species distributed all over the world of which about 130 genera and one thousand species are found in India. The plant of this group are famous all over the world for their beautiful leaves.
