Help, I need to compare/contrast Hills Like White Elephants and Black Man and White Woman in Dark Green Rowboat. Any ideas to get me started?

Heah - hang on! Which question do you want help with? To give you some ideas on "Hills Like White Elephants" you might want to think about the use of dialogue. What is really interesting about this story is how the real issue of the story (the woman's pregnancy and her deciding to get an abortion) is never explicitly stated, but rather skirted around. Why is this? What does the dialogue reveal about the feelings of the man and the woman? How are they different? How is what remains unspoken more important than what is spoken? Hope this helps get you started...

Are these all you, or do other people not know how to ask their own questions?  Please ask one question at a time.  To answer your first question, both stories develop the plot indirectly through the use of dialogue or vague description of events.
