Hector and Achilles are both great warriors. They both fight hard and long for the glory of their nation. They both rally their troops to battle and play a key role in the war. Of course, Hector and Achilles are on opposite sides of this war. The biggestest difference between them other than which side they fight for is probably Achilles parentage. Achilles is half god. Hector is a mere mortal. Achilles has a great strength and few physical weaknesses. His mother is a sea nymph and she took special care to protect her half mortal son when he was a baby. As an adult, Achilles is almost impossible to injure or kill. Hector's parents are both human. He has no extra abilities besides his extraordinary skill as a warrior and leader.
