Let the time taken to gain 5 minutes be T. Using ratio of the number of days taken to gain the time is the same

=> 2:6 = 5:T

=> 2*T = 30

=> T = 30/2

=> T = 15 days.

12 m^2 of the carpet costs 96 euros. Let the cost of 15 m^2 of the carpet be M. As the area and the cost are in the same ratio

=> 12 : 96 = 15 : M

=> M = 96*15/12

=> M = 120

The clock gains 5 minutes in 15 days and the cost of 15 m^2 of carpet is 120 euros.
