Clearly state in your own words the “surprise ending” in part 5 of Descartes' Discourse on the method

The "surprising ending" of the Discourse is that all the methods used to determine why humans can reason and speak are inadequate and insufficient. Descarte determines that these abilities, unique to humans, are likely a gift from God.
