CIM has revolutionized the production process so what will the changes mean for the clothing and shoe industry?

CIM which stands for Customer Involvement Management is an aspect of product development and the product life-cycle that leverages technology and more collaborative communication to involve customers in the product development process.
The changes that this will bring to the clothing and shoe industry will be tremendous; consumers can now be involved in the design process and product life-cycle from the product inception. So now rather than having to conform to a particular style or trend, the consumer can now help shape the trend. There will be more options for customization and individualization in the design and production process, so brands will be able to respond more proactively to customer tastes and preferences.
