The entire part of the bael tree can be eaten by humans. In fact, every single part of the tree has been used for medicinal purposes for a very long time.

One of the main uses that the bael fruit is used for is to treat constipation. It is a natural laxative. When taken as a supplement for a couple of months it is thought to have a very beneficial effect on the digestive system. It cleans old fecal matter out of the intestines.

Mosts parts of the bael tree are thought to be beneficial when treating other ailments such as respiratory infections, diarrhea, and peptic ulcers.

Bael is a fruit that is a native to India and nearby countries such as Sri Lanka, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, and Indonesia. It is an edible fruit. The fruit has a round shape, A ripe fruit ranges in size from about 2 inches to 8 inches. It has got a hard rind. The pulp of the fruit is soft with the seeds embedded in it. The pulp of the fruit is eaten along with the seeds that are present in it. Thus, the seeds are very much edible. However I am not able to find any reference to the seeds of bael being eaten by themselves.
